  Asahi Flour Mills Co., Ltd was established in Sakurai Nara in 1940. Water milling has already been popular since Tokugawa era. The traditional way, also the groundwork of Asahi, is to use the river around Mount Miwa to generate power and let the millwheel start to run, thus, the wheat was milled into powder. Wheat has already been a necessary grain in human’s life. It can be made into noodles, dessert…and so on, enrich your dining table with various colors. The mission of Asahi Flour Mills is to act as the communication bridge between people and food culture and provide the products and service that touch your heart.
