Back to list

Yuji Ajiki - A favorite in the Japanese dessert world!
Yuji Ajiki has written the book on the art of desserts with infinite creativity.
Chef Yuji Ajiki's fascination with the beauty of dessert-making began when he happened to make puffs during his internship.
He began his career at Tokyo's “Rarisu Fan”, and later honed his skills at “Shigiritei” and the Royal Park Hotel in Yokohama, where he gradually developed his dessert skills.
With his creativity and strength, he became the first Japanese to win the 2019 Mandarine Napoleon International Competition, which was held in Belgium, and was the first Japanese to win the award, thus shaking up the international scene and starting his journey to France to further his studies.
Upon his return to Japan, he became the sous chef of Mont St. Clair in Tokyo, where he revolutionized the design of the brand. In 2010, he founded his own brand, Sweets Garden Yuji Ajiki, which blends traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics to create countless classic desserts.
Chef Ajiki's creations have repeatedly been honored on the list of Japan's top 100 restaurants in the “Taberog Tabelog”, and his chocolate mousse is highly acclaimed for its richness and texture. His chocolate mousse has been recognized for its richness and layers. In addition, he has twice won the championship of the East Japan Confectionery Exhibition.
In 2024, Chef Yasushi collaborated with FamilyMart to personally supervise a series of dessert products, bringing the art of desserts into the homes of ordinary people, and surprising and touching the senses of more people.
