This masterpiece has been highly recognized by the Currypan Grand Prix®, Japan's largest and most prestigious curry bread competition. It won the Grand Gold Award in the East Japan Fried Curry Bread Division in both 2023 and 2025. Furthermore, it stood out among all past Grand Gold winners to claim the ultimate title of the inaugural Grand Champion.

This summer, Head Chef Kensuke Hashizume of Croissant is invited to Taiwan for the very first time to host an exclusive guest chef event at Shangri-La Far Eastern Tainan.

In addition to his award-winning curry bread, the event will feature a curated Bread & Pastry Buffet. Guests can indulge in a diverse showcase of Japanese artisan baking culture, including a selection of Japanese-style breads, rustic European breads, artisanal croissants, and exquisite desserts crafted by Shangri-La.
